6 week Pottery course [Weds noon]

Service Description

This is a perfect course for people who have tried our wheel throwing taster or are curious about learning the full experience of pottery. This course is broken into 6 weeks: Week 1 we will cover the basics of wheel throwing like how to center it on the wheel, and how to throw a basic cylinder, and cup week 2 we will learn how to trim your pieces, and how to add handles to your cup week 3 we will learn how to prepare and wedge our clay before throwing larger shapes Week 4 we will trim our pieces and learn more surface decoration techniques Week 5 we will have a little practice at some other pottery techniques such as handbuilding Week 6 we will learn how to prepare glazes to the right consistency for our work to be finally fired In this class you will be able to walk away with 2 of your favourite pieces made included in the price of the sessions, however there is an additional £5 charge per piece if you would like to fire and glaze any extra items you have made
